Cantor Ralph Goren has served Beth El since 2001. His previous pulpits were in Detroit and Los Angeles. While in LA he established a special B’nai Mitzvah program for Russian immigrants who had little or no Jewish background. He served as vice president of the Western Region of the Cantors Assembly, and since being in our area he has served as President of the Delaware Valley Region of the Cantors Assembly and most recently as President of the South Jersey Board of Rabbis and Cantors.
In 2005 he established the Cantors Assembly Atlantic City Retreat which is still a successful annual event. He is very proud of his work with the widely acclaimed Beth El Choir. Cantor Goren and the Choir have sung at a number of venues in the community and are proud of their interfaith connections.
